Indy came into our lives at the age of 10 months. I had posted on the CBR4ME board that I was looking for a companion for Chessie when Phil Englen of Castle Peake Kennels responded. He had a nice young male that I might be interested in. He sent me pictures and information and the rest is history. Indy flew into Tampa from Missouri.
I had a dear friend, Lenny Shulman, who was a AKC Sporting Judge evaluate him and we decided to try the show ring again Jim showed Indy and finished him at age two with 4 back to back Majors. Indy LOVED to show, he held his head proudly and moved smoothly with wonderful reach and drive.
When we started Hunt training with Indy's son Jack, we'd take Indy along and he seemed to pick everything up easily So at the age of 6 we ran him for his UKC Started title and then went onto his AKC JH.
Indy loved to please and had a big heart. He had an wonderful easy going personality and was a true "Velcro" dog.
I also called him my "Marley" dog as every so often he did get into mischief.
I thank the Eglen's every day for allowing Indy to be a part of our family.
Sadly we lost Indy on January 28,2013. He is greatly missed by us all. Indy was a very special boy and we have many fond memories of him and how he touched our lives.
